Gilels and others lay flowers at the monument to PI Tchaikovsky. Minister of Culture of the USSR E. Furtseva, composer T. Khrennikov, M. Rostropovich, D. Oistrakh, A. Sveshnikov and J. Fevrier perform at the opening of the IV International Competition of Music Performers at the Bolshoi Theater.
