Abstract
The film tells about the activities related to the rescue of children from the starving regions of the Volga region. The film includes the following filming: hungry emaciated children collect grain and crumbs from the ground, rummage in garbage and slops, dystrophically emaciated children waiting for a sanitary train at the Melekes station, a half-naked, emaciated child sits in rags on the railroad tracks, crying; employees of the hospital train wash children in the carriage, cut children, give out shoes, carry out a medical examination: general view of the carriage where sick children lie; an employee of a medical train tries food prepared for children, children have lunch; the teacher conducts classes with children; children play at the station before boarding the train, boarding children on the train.
