The film includes footage of the chronicle of the Great Patriotic War, the famine in the Volga region of 1921-1922, the making of dolls in the workshop of S. V. Obraztsov, a fragment of S. Obraztsov's play "Merry Jazz", views of Moscow in the 1930s, post-war Moscow, views of the city of Sverdlovsk during the Great Patriotic War, caring for wounded soldiers in one of the city's hospitals, manufacturing shells for the front at industrial enterprises.
