Mission

Sending 800 children from Petrograd in 1918 to the Urals in grain districts for reinforcement during the summer holidays. The children cut off by the civil war did not return to Petrograd in the fall. The American Red Cross took on the mission of bringing the children home, taking them to Vladivostok, Japan, America, France and transferring all to Soviet power on the Finnish border.
