The plot is dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Komsomol: Komsomol members work at a construction site, operate a trolleybus, harvest crops in the October Revolution collective farm near Moscow, work in the shops of the Likhachev automobile plant, the Krasny Proletary machine-tool plant, and other enterprises in Moscow. Komsomol senior pupils of school № 60 in Moscow demonstrate an amateur TV camera; teachers and parents watch a lesson shown on school television; a senior student is broadcasting a radio program dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Komsomol. The greeters greet the Komsomol members who have returned to Moscow from the virgin lands, leaving for the harvest. Meeting of Komsomol members of different generations in the Central House of the Soviet Army: Komsomol veterans speak from the rostrum; poet A. Zharov reads poetry dedicated to the Komsomol (synchronously).
