Abstract
The city of Nizhyn, Chernihiv region. The building of the Gogol State Pedagogical Institute, the building of the former Gymnasium of Higher Sciences of Prince A. Bezborodko, where Nikolai Gogol studied. City park, a monument to N.V. Gogol, erected in the city in 1881 at the expense of the townspeople. Students of the Pedagogical Institute listen to a lecture by Associate Professor G. P. Vasilkovsky about N. V. Gogol. Museum-room of N. V. Gogol at the Pedagogical Institute. Museum exhibits: portraits of A. Pushkin, N. G. Chernyshevsky, V. G. Belinsky, T. G. Shevchenko, N. V. Gogol; autograph of a letter to NV Gogol Maksimovich, drawings "Dead Souls", textbooks of the Gymnasium of Higher Sciences; picture: "Young Gogol is reading his works".
