Abstract
The newsreel has three plots. 1. Dagestan. Feast of the first furrow in the village of Balkhar. Ritual plowing of the first furrow with a plow. An elderly man scatters seeds in the field. Local residents, children in national costumes, a musician playing the zurna, at the festival. Women treat men and children with festive sweets. Leader of the ensemble "Balkhar" K. Gammadov among the members of the ensemble. 2. North Ossetia, village Arkhovskaya. Rehearsal of the Cossack folklore ensemble. Interview with the head of the ensemble G. Kaloev, in which he talks about the meaning of folklore and old Cossack songs (synchronously). The choir on stage performs the song "At the Gusli Gate ..."
