Newsreel consists of 2 plots. 1-st plot. Stavropol Territory, Kislovodsk. A ceremonial meeting dedicated to the presentation of the Order of the Patriotic War of the 1st degree to the city of Kislovodsk; the order is presented by the deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, the first secretary of the Stavropol Regional Committee of the CPSU V.S. Murakhovsky. Road sign "Kislovodsk" at the entrance to the city. Train station platform. Passengers get off the train cars, walk along the platform. The streets of the town. Headstones at the memorial military cemetery. Architectural and sculptural composition "Cranes". Memorial complex "Soldiers of the Motherland". Honor guard at the monument. Memorial plaques on the buildings of the former military hospitals. On the boards there are inscriptions: "Here during the Great Patriotic War there was an evacuation hospital No. 5095/5406", "Here during the Great Patriotic War there was an evacuation hospital No. 4426/5395". The plot includes footage of the military chronicle (1942-1943): Red Army men flee to the attack on the battlefield; explosions on the battlefield in mountainous terrain, soldiers shoot from a machine gun; a soldier runs along a city street near a destroyed building. 2nd plot. Stavropol Territory, Pyatigorsk. A ceremonial meeting dedicated to the presentation of the Order of the Red Banner of Labor to the city of Pyatigorsk; Deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, First Secretary of the Stavropol Regional Committee of the CPSU V.S. Murakhovsky makes a report (synchronously) and presents the order. General view of Pyatigorsk. The newlyweds lay flowers at the "Fire of Eternal Glory" memorial. Schoolchildren are on guard of honor near the memorial. The streets of the town. Transport movement. A memorial plaque on one of the buildings with the inscription: "In this house on March 14-17, 1918, under the leadership of S.M. Kirov, Soviet power was proclaimed at the 2nd Congress of the Peoples of the Terek Region." People on the streets of the city. People at the fountain.
