Abstract
The special issue of the newsreel tells about the athletes of the North Caucasus, representing the USSR at the XXII Olympic Games in Moscow. The plot uses the following filming: the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Moscow at the stadium in Luzhniki, general view of the bowl with the Olympic flame; fragments of competitions of athletes in freestyle wrestling; among the participants of one of the fights, a wrestler from Makhachkala Aratsilov (silver priest), Olympic champion of Montreal S. Andiev (Olympic champion), a wrestler from the GDR R. Gerke, S. Absaidov (twice an Olympic champion), a wrestler from Yugoslavia S. Shaban; rewarding wrestlers; fragments of fights of sportsmen-fencers; among the participants of the fights: fencers from Ordzhonikidze L. Tsagaraeva and A. Mozhaev; participation of athletes from North Ossetia in equestrian competitions at the Olympics; riders overcome obstacles; general view of the racetrack.
