Novocherkassk Album

The film tells about the events in Novocherkassk in June 1962: about the shooting of workers of Novocherkassk enterprises who went on a demonstration in connection with the increase in prices for meat and dairy products and a decrease in prices in production. The film includes interviews with participants in the events of June 1962: O.E. Artyushchenko (part 1), V.E. Vodyanitskaya-Kotik (part 2-3), K.I. Glukhova (part 1-2), P.I. Gromenko (part 3), A.I. Pekush (part 2-3), M.K. Shaposhnikova (part 1) - all sync., Who share their memories. The film uses newsreel footage of the 60s: the May Day demonstration on Red Square (part 1), views of Moscow, the audience in the streets; workers of the Watch Factory, members of one of the families and other citizens of the Soviet Union listen to the radio and watch on TV the speech of N.S. Khrushchev (sync. and behind the scenes) (part 2). The film uses archival documents and photographs of the June events in Novocherkassk in 1962, as well as personal photographs of the participants in the events. The film filmed views of the city of Novocherkassk and its environs, including the building of the Novocherkassk Electric Locomotive Plant (1-3 parts), one of the burial places of victims of the mass shooting in the Tarasovsky district of the Rostov region (3 parts).
