On the Exercises

North-Western Front, June 10-14, 1943 Front commander Colonel-General Ivan Stepanovich Konev receives a report during tactical exercises of units of the North-Western Front. I.S. Konev's speech to the soldiers and commanders participating in the exercises. IS Konev looks through binoculars at the observation post, stands at the map, conducts a review of the exercises for the command staff. On the map there is an inscription "TASKS OF ARTILLERY TO BREAKTHROUGH THE OPPONENT'S DEFENSE LINE ON THE FRONT OF THE 34 ARMY." I.S.Konev, accompanied by commanders, bypasses the units of the troops that took part in tactical exercises, stops and says something to the soldiers.
