The film in a playful way tells about the ancient measures of length and the history of the emergence of the metric system. The film includes the following filming: a man runs along the path in the park, performs physical exercises, the movement of vehicles along the highway in the direction of Tver, Novgorod and St. Petersburg. The film includes newsreels for different years: crocodiles move on land, a giraffe in the savannah, a tractor cultivates the land, the movement of a train, an airplane flight, a ship at sea, the launch of a spacecraft.
