The film is dedicated to the anti-fascist artist of the 20th century, a former prisoner of the Buchenwald camp, twice sentenced to death, Leonid Ivanovich Tsaritsinsky. The artist died in Moscow in 1989 under the wheels of a car. Many of Leonid Ivanovich's paintings, which were filmed in the film, were irretrievably lost after his death.
