Chkalovsk, Chkalovsk MTS, August 15, 1941 Son of the Hero of the Soviet Union V.P. Chkalova - 13-year-old Igor during his summer holidays works as a tractor driver, he is helped by Konstantin Gordeev (son of V.P. Chkalov's sister). Pioneers I. Chkalov and K. Gordeev exceed the standards of adult tractor drivers; at the regional rally of pioneers and schoolchildren of the Chkalovsky district, they pledged to provide all-round assistance to collective farms in harvesting, protecting it and working two days for the defense fund. The pioneer of the collective farm named after Budyonny Kolya Odnoletkov worked out about 100 workdays in a month and a half.
