- Solemn meeting in the Sverdlovsk Hall of the Kremlin. Academician D. V. Skobeltsyn read out the decree on awarding the International Lenin Prizes to the President of Czechoslovakia Freedom and the Polish writer J. Ivashkevich. DV Skobeltsyn presents diplomas and medals of laureate L. Svoboda and J. Ivashkevich. Leonid Brezhnev, A. N. Kosygin, V. Gomulka and others are in the presidium. Writer A. Korneichuk, secretary of the All-Union Central Council of Trade Unions P. T. Pimenov and others are speaking.
