City of Prague. A solemn meeting on the Old Town Square, dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the October Revolution and the opening of the month of Czechoslovak-Soviet friendship. Speakers: Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia V. Shirokiy, USSR Ambassador to Czechoslovakia AE Bogomolov. Secretary of the Central Committee of the CPC A. Novotny read out a message to the Soviet Union, which will be delivered by relay to the borders of the Soviet Union. A. Novotny sends a message to the world champion in athletics Emil Zatopek, who starts from the square with the first group of the relay.
