Red Finland

February 1918. Civil war in independent Finland. On the outskirts of Tampere (Tammerfors until 1917), the Red Guards maintain order. Shooting from a cannon from the platform of an armored train. G. Helsinki (until 1917 Helsingfors) employees of the "red" revolutionary government: Chairman of the Council of People's Representatives Kullervo Manner; member of the RSDLP (Russian Social Democratic Labor Party), commander in the Finnish civil war, Alexander Vasten, and commissar for military affairs in the Council, commander-in-chief of the Finnish Red Guard, Adolf Petrovich Taimi (brother of A. Vasten). The port is home to the yachts of the former Emperor Nicholas II "Standart" and "Polar Star", on which Tsentrobalt (the central committee of the Baltic Fleet) is located. On the streets of the city: a column of soldiers; Red Guards escort prisoners of war; guard "PRIVATBANKEN"; female Red Cross squad.
