Report From Budapest

The consequences of the fighting during the October 1956 armed uprising in Budapest: holes in houses, destroyed buildings, streets covered with debris, cars and trams pierced by bullets, destroyed monuments, anti-Soviet inscriptions on the fence written by participants in the uprising. Restoration work in the city: ruins are being dismantled, buildings are being repaired, broken wires of transport lines are being pulled.
