Rostislav Zakharov

The film tells about the work of the choreographer, People's Artist of the USSR R. V. Zakharov on the example of his work on the ballets "Fountain of Bakhchisarai" by B. V. Asafiev, "The Bronze Horseman" by R. M. Glier and "Cinderella" by S. Prokofiev. Classes of Professor R. V. Zakharov with students of the choreographer department of the State Institute of Theater Arts named after A. V. Lunacharsky. The film includes newsreel footage that captures fragments from the ballets "Cinderella" with the participation of O. V. Lepeshinskaya, "The Fountain of Bakhchisarai" with the participation of G. Ulanova, M. Plisetskaya, P. Gusev, Yu. Zhdanov and I. Belsky and composer R. Glier at the piano in the study.
