Scientific Session Dedicated to the YII Anniversary of the Indian Republic

Moscow city. Expanded meeting of the Academic Council of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the USSR Academy of Sciences, dedicated to the 7th anniversary of the Indian Republic. The meeting was opened by the director of the institute, Doctor of Historical Sciences, BG Gafurov. Speakers: Doctor of Historical Sciences N.M. Reisner, Doctor of Historical Sciences P.A. Antonova, Candidate of Historical Sciences N.M. Gol'dberg, Candidate of Philological Sciences E.P. Chelyshev, Ambassador of India to the USSR K.P.Sh. Menon. Present: Egyptian Ambassador to the USSR Mahammed A. El-Kuni, Mongolian Ambassador to the USSR Sanzhiin Bata and others. Participants in the meeting visiting a photo exhibition on the stay of NA Bulganin and Nikita Khrushchev in India and an exhibition of works by Indian writers.
