Abstract
The film tells about the past and present of the city of shipbuilders Nikolaev. First part: A squad of drummers is walking down the street. The territory of one of the shipyards, a meeting, workers' faces. New ship "Ivan Privolsky" at the shipyard. Shipbuilders smash a bottle of champagne on the side, the ship sinks into the water, floats. NDP on the grass in the steppe (filmed from a flying helicopter). A horse with a foal graze in the steppe. Surf at sunset, seagulls over the sea, pebble beach. Panorama of the new districts of Nikolaev, passers-by walk along the street, traffic. Black Sea shipyard.
