- Berlin. The signing of the Protocol of the Mixed Soviet-German Commission on the gratuitous transfer of 33 enterprises in Germany that belonged to the USSR into the ownership of the GDR. The protocol is signed by: I. F. Semichastnov, S. P. Trofimov, K. I. Bebenin, Fritz Selbman, Paul Strassenberger, Willie Rummph. Among those present: B. P. Miroshnichenko, G. I. Mikheev, Walter Ulbricht, Heinrich Rau and others.
