- The ceremonial meeting at the Bolshoi Theater of the USSR, dedicated to the 38th anniversary of the Great October Revolution. Among those present in the presidium were the leaders of the party and the Soviet state: L. M. Kaganovich, A. I. Mikoyan, M. Z. Saburov, V. M. Molotov, N. A. Bulganin, N. S. Khrushchev, K. Ye. Voroshilov, M. A. Yasnov, E. A. Furtseva, K.S. Moskalenko and others. Speech by L. M. Kaganovich with a report (sinhr.).
