Abstract
A film about the life of the USSR pilot-cosmonaut Yu. A. Gagarin, who made the first flight into space in the history of mankind on the Vostok spacecraft on April 12, 1961, and about the time that shaped his character and determined his fate. The film is edited from film documents and photographs taken during the life of Yu. A. Gagarin, filming of the places where Yu. A. Gagarin lived, documents and memoirs of relatives and friends (synchronously) and frames of documentary chronicles illustrating the stages of practical cosmonautics in the USSR under the leadership of S.
