Abstract
A film about a former mortuary worker Gulkin, whose father was a deputy of the Third State Duma. Gulkin talks about his parents, about himself (sinhr.); walks around the city; at home; at the cemetery. Neighbors, acquaintances, the police captain talk about the moral character of Gulkin (sinhr.). An inhabitant of one of the villages collects branches and carves bizarre figures from them. 1 part. Staged filming: a seance. Part 2. Children run to kindergarten. Women walk with strollers. The corpse of a man in the morgue. Funeral procession at the cemetery.
