The film is dedicated to the jubilee plenum of the Board of the Union of Writers of the USSR, the 50th anniversary of the Union of Writers. The film includes the following filming: laying flowers at the monument to V.I.Lenin in the Kremlin, registration of plenum delegates, among them A. Voznesensky, Ch. Aitmatov, Yu. Bondarev, R. Gamzatov, Yu.N. Ozerov. Speakers (synchronously) at the plenum: V. Kataev, O. Suleimenov, K. Chernenko, G. Markov. Among the speakers at the plenum: S. Mikhalkov, A. Chakovsky, T. Khrennikov, M. Tsarev, L. Kulidzhanov, V.M. Mishin. Among the writers at the congress: V. Astafiev, V. Bykov, V. Karpov.
