Abstract
Russia, Petersburg, March 22, 1914 - Emperor Nicholas II at the inspection of young soldiers on Alexander Square: on horseback, accompanied by the Romanian Prince Karol and his retinue, he goes round the line of guard soldiers standing on the square in front of the Winter Palace. Foreign military attaches are at the Winter Palace. Nicholas II takes a parade of troops: there are soldiers of the Life Guards Pavlovsky regiment with a military band, other guards regiments, guards Cossacks with pikes, cuirassiers. Nicholas II on horseback, accompanied by his retinue (including VA Sukhomlinov in a guards uniform, [AA Gulevich], AN Grabbe), goes round the line of guards soldiers.
