The film is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of economic cooperation between the USSR and Afghanistan. The participation of Soviet specialists in the construction of industrial enterprises, residential buildings, educational institutions, and hydroelectric power plants. The film uses filming: the flight and landing of an airplane flying on the route Moscow-Kabul, the construction of a new microdistrict in Kabul, raising children in one of the kindergartens in Kabul, classes of students of the Polytechnic Institute in laboratories, production processes in the workshops of the auto-mechanical plant "Jongalak", movement cars along the Salan pass, through the tunnel, classes of students of the mining and oil technical school in the laboratory, in the geophysics office, gas production at the Khoja-Gugerdag fields, the operation of the thermal power plant in Mazar-i-Sharif, production processes at the nitrogen fertilizer plant, the operation of the Naglu power plant, general view of irrigation facilities in the Dzelagan Valley, raising cattle on one of the livestock farms, growing citrus crops, building a gas pipeline, opening a gas pipeline, celebrating the 1st anniversary of the Republic.
