Twardowskis Childhood

The film tells about the childhood years of the poet A. Tvardovsky, which became a source of creative inspiration for him for the rest of his life. The landscape of the Smolensk region: a field, a river, cows graze in a meadow, children ride a cart across the field, across the old bridge. View of the village, rural smithy. Winter rural landscape: forest, river, field. Haymaking on the farm. The ferry floats on the river, children swim in the river. The film uses footage from newsreels of the Great Patriotic War, filming of rural life of Russian peasants in the 20-30s, views of Moscow in the 30s.
