Abstract
Suburb of Warsaw - Prague, Poland, January 1945. General Michal Rohl - ymerski with a group of officers looks at the city of Warsaw from a dilapidated bridge. Parts of the Red Army and the inhabitants of Prague are on the ice across the Vistula to Warsaw. Warsaw city, January 19, 1945. Streets with burning and destroyed buildings. View of a smoking church. Soviet sappers are clearing mines on one of the streets. People with belongings are walking around the city, returning to their homes. Chairman of the Provisional Government of National Unity of the Polish Republic Edward Osubka-Moravsky, President of Warsaw Mariosz Spychalsky, Polish party leader Boleslaw Bierut and General of the Red Army Vasily Mitrofanovich Shatilov pass along the destroyed city street. The ruins of the building where the headquarters of the Human Army was located and where friends and associates of today's leaders of Poland died. Osubka-Moravsky, Bierut, General Shatilov bare their heads in memory of the victims. Demonstrations in the streets of the city in honor of the liberation of the capital of Poland.
